Underground Church 2010

It won't be long til our next UC! Trinity Baptist Church in Hopkinsville KYwill host our next UC in April of 2010! Casey and her "crew" are the greatest! Casey knows how to "crack that whip" LOL She's great, and sold out for JESUS! Trinity always does a great job with UC. I can't wait til April! You know it's not that far away, I mean really...like right now we only have 50 days left until Christmas!!! Enjoy!!

Underground Church Went GODly Well!!

GOD took over at UC!! Wow!! Cedar Grove Baptist Church, (our host) those folks did an outstanding job!! They were eXcited, and still are from what I'm being told! They are already talking about next year!! Yeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaw!! We have about 350 there, that included about 50 workers. When it was all said and done, we had 116 REdedications, 3 that would like to know how to be "saved", and we got to see 18 professions of Faith!! Thank YOU JESUS! And thank you Cedar Grove Baptist Church!!

Underground Church Is Approaching Fast!

I can't believe it! We are 22 days away from Underground Church!! Woohoo! Wow... There's still a lot of "odds and ends" that need to be taken care of! We still need some volunteers, we still need some props, and we still need some "food"!! Of course if JESUS comes on or before the 24th at 5 PM, I DON'T CARE IF ALL THE STUFF GETS TAKEN CARE OF!!! I'm eXcited about this year's eXperience, it's chapter 4, "New Beginnings", and the story line gets increasingly INTENSE! I'm praying GOD will give us as many as we can handle! The word is out, the banners are hung, the community calendars have been published, the PSAs have been sent to area radio stations, and now we just sit back, and let GOD do the rest! It's all about HIM anyway..right! Underground Church is continuing to impact Western KY, and beginning to reach out far beyond our regional area! Australia! How about that?!! Simply AMAZING!

We will continue to "conduct" Underground Church until JESUS comes, or tells us to stop..One or the other... Our prayer is simply that GOD has HIS WAY with each heart that's present, and that could entail many things. For instance, Underground Church is "geared" toward believers, but GOD has seen fit to SAVE people!! Thank YOU JESUS! Some people have answered the call to the Mission Field, some have 'gained' a new appreciation for the freedom that we have in coming and going into a place of worship without hindrance from government or anyone else.

We take that, special freedom, for granted. In fact, we take it for granted enough that some days, some times, we choose NOT to go. Something else, we take for granted is GOD's WRITTEN WORD, we don't read it and don't pack it!

This is one reason, scripture memorization, and daily quiet times, are so important! If you get HIS Word in your Heart, in your mind, no matter what happens on the outside, no one can take it away from you!!

WOW!

The Underground Church Simulation Game seems to be growing even more! Thank YOU JESUS! It is "wild" that this outreach tool is reaching out to 1000s of people every year! I have just did a search on YouTube, for Underground Church, and wow, a bunch of results come up!! Some are actual video from actual Underground Churches...a must see! Also there are many churches now doing Underground Church as an event or outreach tool, very nice to see!

Now I'm NOT saying that "we" had anything to do with it OR not, but it's amazing after "we" started doing UC again..how many people are doing it also. The UC website is getting hit all over this world, and it has "sparked" some to take on this great tool for themselves! We have had emails from Australia, Summit Mississippi, Alabama, and from a person contacting us via our Underground Church YouTube channel!!

Thank YOU LORD! Thank YOU!

I know many of you "struggle" with doing UC, and that's not all BAD! It takes a 'calling', no doubt, it takes a "faith" that is bigger than all of us, it takes "love" for others more than ourselves. I know the "storyline", the "idea", the "intensity" is not necessarily the way we should present the gospel...but it does get the message across in a "powerful" way!

UC takes minutes to do something it might take one of us to do in days, weeks, or even months, it takes away (or "blows" away) all that someone might be "packing" before the game starts. We don' t know what people are "thinking", are "going through", have "come out of", or facing at that particular time....when the GAG regime "comes in", I believe that everything that "may have been" is now gone. And when all the "cares" of this world are not on our hearts and minds, then GOD's SWEET HOLY SPIRIT can get "right through"...

So as hard as UC is to do, work in, etc., it is the great commission in a very unique way, but whatever it takes to see one "lost" soul come to JESUS, it's worth it!

WOW! Underground Church Has More Potential

This weekend was a tremendous weekend for UC! We went to Alabama to visit some friends that were celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary. While we were there, I took the liberty of sharing some Underground Church Cards with some friends that live in different places in Alabama...so the potential to start some more Underground churches is HIGH! Also, on the return trip, I had someone call my cellphone, and asked about UC. I asked him where did you hear about UC, he said I just past you on the highway and was very intrigued by your sign. So we chatted abit, and he said he would visit the website and get back with me. Also, a week or so ago, I had a friend email me/call me about UC in Alabama, and that really looks like a door that is going to open up for UC!! And just a week or so ago, a friend that left M'ville and moved to Nicholasville KY, is going to share the idea with their new church family, and I believe that-that may have a good chance of getting off the ground also. Today, I was emailing a friend that is starting UC in Trigg County, this year, July 11th @5PM, in Cadiz, KY, at New Hope Baptist Church to be exact, and he said he had a call from a guy in St. Louis..interested in starting one...WoW!!! Woohoo! GOD IS SO GOOD TO US! AMEN? AMEN!

Underground Church Continues To "GROW"

Underground Church may be eXpanding yet again!!

We have an opportunity that is developing, that will take Underground Church to Alabama! Yes even those in Alabama, need UC!! LOL

Let me tell you this...GOD IS GOOD!!

I've been thinking about..emailing, contacting a friend that has moved off some time ago. I still have his email address..and everytime I send out a UC email, sometimes I include him, and sometimes when I see his email address...I wonder if we could do UC down there!...

Well last Monday night, I was putting together an email for UC workers...and I came across his name, I almost sent him a special email concerning what I've been thinking about.

GUESS WHAT!!?? He CALLED ME THE VERY NEXT MORNING!! TUESDAY! He said Stu, I've been aiming to talk with our Youth Pastor about doing UC! He said this past Sunday, I got my chance!! I asked him, "Have you ever considered doing a UC?" The Youth Pastor said, "I don't know any one that has done one." He answered, "I have had a little eXperience with it" Guess where he got his experience from...LOL!!

We chatted abit, and this actually may work out!! So any UC Workers looking for a 'working' weekend...we very well may need you! Please be in much prayer about this...who knows where this may lead! TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!

I never have told you his name, for most of you already know whom it is we are talking about. But later on, if this continues to move forward, for those that don't know now...soon will!!

A DOOR OPENED

First I guess you noticed that the title is in all caps!!  (AS IT SHOULD BE!!) Because this is a great time for Underground Church (UC).    A DOOR HAS BEEN OPENED... a new VENTURE, a HORIZON BROADENED..A DIVINE AREA OF MINISTRY THAT IS NOW HERE! Webisodes!!

WEBISODES, has been in discussion, the "let's do it" stages for at least a year now, and it's begining to take shape, come together, actually become a reality!!!   THANK YOU LORD!!  

As some know UC, has been growing by leaps and bounds..I'm sorry by the HAND OF GOD! We now are doing three (3) UCs this year!!  WOW!!!   We had one in April at Trinity Baptist Church, in Hopkinsville, and as always CASIE AND COMPANY did an eXcellent job!!  We have one coming up in July ...the 11th at New Hope Baptist Church in Cadiz KY!  And we will, LORD WILLING, have one around Madisonville in the fall...

Now WEBISODES!!  We have video clips of some UCs posted on the website.  They are actual footage of the game in progress!!  My favorite is short and sweet..it's called GAME OVER!!

These webisodes will be a different "volume" from the games we play.   It is based on the fact Government has outlawed our freedom to worship (like our game), but will be from the perspective of a family that has seen and is experiencing this for themselves...

SHOOOOT!   I have gave away ...way too much already!  MUMssss

So be in much prayer, that this NEW avenue of Ministry, that we remember, that we are NOT doing this for US, but are doing it to "point" others to JESUS CHRIST before it is everlasting too late!!

We have some webisodes already written, and are starting to prepare and plan for the  filming of these webisodes!
